Regarding (1):
Principal-Distributor relationships are win-win in nature. And no, it's not an exclusive distributorship (and I doubt one of the global leaders will ever do so), so there's nothing stopping them from signing another distributorship agreement with another company.
However, it's not so straightforward, as basically being an official distributor means that you are endorsed by the principal to represent them in this country-- means that the distributor must pass certain audits, quality checks, and competency tests to be qualified as a distributor.
At the same time, it is quite common for big brands to have multiple distributorships, and offer dealer prices to them (to deter end customers buying direct from brand principals and bypassing the dealers) meanwhile the distributor's job is to find projects to implement while getting support from the principal.
For important usage (such as by FIs), they would very much rather buy from an official distributor and pay higher prices than to buy from an unrecognized one-- brand name and reputation is important for the big companies for accountability and problem solving.
So, to answer your question:
-Both companies rely on each other for business in this country
-ServiceNow could find other distributors, but that wouldn't break the current distributorship agreement that Cloudpt has with them
-Cloudpt has probably shown sufficient competency and track record that ServiceNow will continue to work with them
Regarding (2)
There are many cybersecurity companies with various software... Each has their pros and cons, and I don't think I can say which is the best. Paloalto, CheckPoint, Cisco, Fortinet, etc are all famous names.
I also can't answer with regards the scope of cybersecurity, as it's quite large... I would assume each software has their focus on the various types of threats. That being said, Cloudpt is a distributor of multiple brands, so they would probably pick and choose which one would be the most suitable to implement on a case by case basis based on customer specifications or requirements.
$ADB / 0276 (AUTOCOUNT DOTCOM BERHAD) is not really related in this aspect, as they deal with accounting software. ADB uses their own inbuilt software for SMEs mainly-- arguably more similar to $CENSOF / 5195 (CENSOF HOLDINGS BERHAD) in this case.
I would say that $INFOTEC / 0253 (INFOLINE TEC GROUP BERHAD) is probably more of a direct competitor-- with the exception that they don't really deal with Financial Institutions.
Potentially $LGMS / 0249 (LGMS BERHAD) as well, on the cybersecurity front.
@boncos one could argue that $CENSOF / 5195 (CENSOF HOLDINGS BERHAD) could potentially be one of the front runners for the e-invoicing works, but to what extent remains unclear at this point.

Which stocks would gain prominence if GST were to be reintroduced?
On September 11, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli mentioned that the government is considering the possibility of reintroducing the GST as a strategy to expand the tax base. This decision has sparked controversy; given that it was one of the factors contributing to the downfall of Barisan Nasional in the 2018 general election. However, Deputy Finance Minister 2, Steven Sim, later expressed that the current post-pandemic recovery phase may not be the appropriate time for GST implementation. Interestingly, there are several companies that could benefit if the government were to reintroduce the GST.
The first company is $IFCAMSC / 0023 (IFCA MSC BERHAD). IFCAMSC specializes in developing business solutions tailored for the property, construction, hospitality, and human resource sectors, utilizing HRX, HotelX, PropertyX, and ContractX. Their primary objective is to facilitate streamlined business monitoring for the property industry, and their software received certification and accreditation from the Royal Malaysian Customs in 2014.
The second company is $CENSOF / 5195 (CENSOF HOLDINGS BERHAD). Censof operates as a technology company, offering financial management software solutions, including e-payment gateway services and wealth management software. Their clientele spans government, commercial enterprises, and SMEs. Censof's subsidiary ABSS accounting software underscores its relevance in the context of GST, as ABSS provides accounting solutions closely related to GST.
Last would be the company that familiar by most people, $ADB / 0276 (AUTOCOUNT DOTCOM BERHAD). Autocount stands as the largest accounting software provider in Malaysia, boasting a client base exceeding 20,000. GST played a pivotal role in augmenting Autocount's revenue as they have developed an accounting software that is fit for the GST, ultimately leading to its listing on Bursa Malaysia.
$CENSOF / 5195 (CENSOF HOLDINGS BERHAD) and $IFCAMSC / 0023 (IFCA MSC BERHAD) good movement.
This is a perfect example of reading the news and trading on a specific theme play.
Congratulations for anyone who bought it!
Starting next year, IRB is making mandatory the use of e-services. I suppose this includes e-invoicing as well.
Which companies are doing this?
On top of my head I think the potential related companies are
$CENSOF / 5195 (CENSOF HOLDINGS BERHAD)
$IFCAMSC / 0023 (IFCA MSC BERHAD)
$IRIS / 0010 (IRIS CORPORATION BERHAD) ?
$DSONIC / 5216 (DATASONIC GROUP BERHAD)
$MYEG / 0138 (MY E.G. SERVICES BERHAD)
htpadu, and so on.
Anyone heard anything?
