Danareksa Researh Institute: September Outlook: A Slight
Improvement Expected
Moderating economic prospects and a small improvement in the
price of major commodity exports will sustain September’s exports.
Meanwhile, soft domestic demand, lower global oil prices, and a
stronger rupiah should lead to sluggish imports. Against this
backdrop, we expect Indonesia’s exports to reach USD14.5bn in
September 2019, with imports reaching USD14.4bn. This will
translate into a trade surplus of USD108.4mn in September 2019.
