Untuk Indonesia, pelajaran PALING PENTING dari Perang Iran adalah kebutuhan kita akan ketahanan pangan dan energi. Menurut tulisan dibawah: Lesson5, self reliance.

Mau ngga mau, kita sudah HARUS PAKSAKAN produksi DME, DME to Olefins, etanol, biodiesel, penambahan kapasitas listrik, EV, penambahan kapasitas produksi amonia, dll dst dsb.

$ADRO mesti dikasih subsidi untuk bikin fasilitas DME. $ESSA mesti dikasih subsidi nambah kapasitas. $TPIA disubsidi bikin fasilitas DME to Olefins. dll.

subsidi2 beginian dibikin off budget, biar ngga bikin jebol anggaran.

While the world watches missiles, China watches everything else.

The short-term pain is real. China imports 40 to 50% of its seaborne crude through Hormuz. Iranian oil accounts for 13 to 20% of Chinese imports. Oil surged past $119 before crashing below $91 on de-escalation signals that have not produced a single reinstated insurance policy. Beijing is drawing on strategic petroleum reserves estimated at three to four months of imports, accelerating Power of Siberia deliveries at 38.8 billion cubic metres annually, and routing shadow fleet tankers through Hormuz at night under spoofed transponders to keep Iranian crude flowing. The 2026 GDP target of 4.5 to 5% remains intact. The economy absorbs the shock because Beijing spent the last decade building the buffers for exactly this scenario.

The long-term gain is historic. And it is unfolding across five dimensions simultaneously.

Dimension one: military intelligence. The PLA released a five-lesson framework from the Iran war within days. Lesson one: the deadliest threat is the enemy within, referencing Israeli intelligence penetration that located Khamenei. Lesson two: blind faith in peace agreements is fatal. Lesson three: superior firepower alone does not guarantee victory. Lesson four: the illusion of quick victory traps the aggressor. Lesson five: ultimate reliance must be self-reliance. These are not commentary. They are doctrinal updates for Taiwan and Pacific contingencies. China is observing American reaction times, THAAD and Patriot intercept rates against manoeuvrable re-entry vehicles, drone-swarm saturation thresholds, electronic warfare effectiveness, and interceptor depletion economics in real time. MizarVision publishes AI-labelled satellite imagery of every US asset in theatre from a mobile phone. The PLA has never had a live-fire dataset this comprehensive.

Dimension two: space intelligence. China operates over 1,060 military and intelligence satellites including the Yaogan constellation, Jilin-1 commercial imaging fleet, and new retrograde-orbit launches from January 2026. Every carrier movement, every bomber deployment, every THAAD battery repositioning is tracked, catalogued, and fed into AI targeting models that did not exist five years ago.

Dimension three: AI and automation. The 15th Five-Year Plan targets 70% AI penetration across the economy by 2027 and 90% by 2030. AI-related industries valued at $1.38 trillion. R&D allocation of 1.3 trillion yuan, up 7.1%. High-tech manufacturing already accounts for 26% of industrial growth. The lights-off factories, fully automated production lines where robots build robots without human intervention, are scaling across Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu. The war that consumes American interceptors at $4 million each accelerates the Chinese industrial model that produces their equivalents for a fraction of the cost.

Dimension four: rare earth leverage. China controls 90% of global rare earth processing. Every F-35 requires 920 pounds of rare earth materials. The “extraordinary measures” in the Five-Year Plan tighten the supply chain the US military depends on while that military expends rare-earth-dependent munitions at historic rates over Iran.

Dimension five: energy transition. Every Hormuz disruption accelerates China’s pivot to nuclear, solar, wind, and electric vehicles. The war makes fossil fuel dependence a national security liability. China is building the exit.

America is fighting the war. China is winning the future. And the classroom is the Persian Gulf.
