PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (IDX: $CUAN), through its subsidiary PT Volta Daya Energi Indonesia (VDEI), has signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire 90% of the shares in PT Guna Darma Integra (GDI).
GDI will develop a 680 MW power plant project located within the Feni Haltim (FHT) Industrial Park, an integrated industrial area in East Halmahera, North Maluku. The total project value is estimated at US$ 600 million (approximately IDR 10 trillion), with a construction period targeted at 28 months.
“The signing of this agreement reflects Petrindo’s strong commitment to actively contribute to the development of Indonesia’s electric vehicle battery ecosystem, while continuously enhancing value creation in the energy and nickel industries,” said Michael, President Director of PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk. “This acquisition is part of the Company’s long-term strategic plan to expand into new energy development, in line with our vision to create sustainable added value through mineral and energy resources.”
The Feni Haltim (FHT) Industrial Park is an integrated industrial zone that forms part of the Indonesian government’s downstream mineral strategy, aimed at realizing the nation’s potential as a major hub for the electric vehicle battery industry.
