Daily Market Wrap: The Bull is Back in Town
11 August 2025
What a day for the Indonesian stock market! The $IHSG came roaring back, jumping 0.96% to close at 7,605.92. It was a proper rally, with almost every sector flashing green, showing some serious buying power across the board. The total value of trades for the day was a hefty Rp 15.63 trillion, what a fantastic value.
Leading the charge was Barito Renewables Energy ( $BREN ), which absolutely soared, up over 10% to hit Rp 8,750 per share. This stock alone contributed a ton of points to the index, proving that investors are really keen on renewable energy right now. It makes sense, with everyone talking about ESG and Indonesia's move toward a greener future.
The big banks were also key players. Giants like BBCA, BBRI, BMRI, and BBNI all had a great day, lifting the entire financial sector. It's a reminder that Indonesia's banking system is still rock-solid and a huge part of the market's backbone.
On the corporate front, there was interesting news from AKR Corporindo ($AKRA). They've already spent Rp 609 billion on capital projects this year, halfway to their full-year goal of Rp 1.2 trillion. The company is feeling confident, aiming for a 10%-17% jump in profit. This is likely fueled by their big industrial estate project, which is seeing more and more tenants move in and start operations, bringing in good revenue. It's a smart long-term move that aligns with the government's push for local industries.
Looking ahead, analysts are a bit cautious but still optimistic. They see the IHSG possibly consolidating a bit, with some investors taking profits. The key levels to watch are 7,430-7,470 for support and 7,600-7,650 for resistance. While global events can always throw a curveball, Indonesia's strong economy and stable political scene are providing a great foundation.
In a nutshell, today was a powerful day for the market, driven by a few major players in renewables and banking. It seems domestic strength is the name of the game right now, and that's a good sign for things to come.
