However, there are others that also contribute significantly to the upstream sector. When exploring, geological surveys are imperative to prevent adverse impacts on the environment, particularly in oceanic settings.

It's crucial to note that some companies specialize solely in drilling operations, focusing on the exploration, production, and injection of wells for enhanced oil recovery. Additionally, reservoir engineering plays a vital role. Companies such as Velesto, which provides drilling services, and Reach, although not explicitly mentioned, are involved in this sector. Barakah, while primarily involved in semi-midstream activities, also undertakes onshore contracting work, including pipeline installation and maintenance.

Petra is another noteworthy player in the upstream sector, deriving a significant portion of its revenue from there.
